Week-end in Vegas

The 24th of July is a big holiday here in Utah. So big in fact, that I got July 23rd off to celebrate it. It's Pioneer Day, but that's not what this post is about. Since I had a 3-day week-end and nothing really to do, I decided to head down to Vegas to visit with my awesome grandparents. It's only 5.5 hours away and who knows how much longer I will have the luxury of driving to their house. Friday the 23rd I packed my things, packed some food, made sure I had some great music, and headed out. The drive wasn't too bad. It's been a long time since I drove that far by myself. Can I just say that I love my i-pod?! I got there Friday afternoon and was so happy to see them. We had fun eating WAY too much food, watching shows from their trip to Branson, visiting with my aunt and cousins, going to church, playing games and eating M&M Malts. My grandpa is the King of M&M's. He loves them and for the longest time has been making these delicious malts. They are a DeLange family favorite! I didn't take any pictures because I was too busy relaxing. Haha, that's funny.

Also, when I was there I got to meet up with my dear friends Staci and Eric who are down in Vegas for the next month or so. I used to work with Staci and I sure do miss her. We met at In-n-Out and just got to catch up for awhile. They have a little boy named Wesley and he is the cutest little boy! I love him.

Also, when my aunt came over to visit, she brought me a gift. I wasn't quite sure why until I opened it. It's this cute little running shoe charm from Brighton. She saw the charm while working at the Brighton store and thought of me doing my triathlon. She said she was so proud of me that she had to buy it for me. She bought me a Pandora chain so that I could wear it as either a necklace or bracelet. It was so special to get a gift from my aunt. It's nice to feel loved. I love the charm and I love my aunt!!

Overall, I had a great week-end in Vegas. It would have been perfect had it not been 110 degrees. I don't get how people can live in that heat. I was melting...
