My first niece was born on 8/31/09 at 10:21 AM. She weighed in at 8lbs. 8oz. and was 20.5". I have only seen a few pictures so far and am waiting anxiously for more. She looks adorable. My little nephew Matt started to cry at the hospital when they couldn't take her home. He was saying that there wasn't any milk at the hospital for her to drink. Cute! She is home now and I'm sure my brother and sister-in-law are having a fun time getting used to a family of 5! My mom actually flew out there yesterday to visit and to help. Congratulations Chris and Kristen. Eric and I can't wait to meet Abigail!

One week before school started up again for Eric, his mom decided to come for a visit. We hadn't seen her since March, so it was good to see her. We had a lot of fun sitting around our table talking. I heard a lot of great stories about Eric as a child. He was a bundle of energy. That's what I get to look forward to when we have children! :) We ate out at a lot of great restaurants and we took her to watch the people battle it out at the park on Thursday nights. I don't think I have ever blogged about that. That's a story that will have to come later. We also went and saw GI Joe. It's always fun to have family come and visit. I wish we lived closer to all of our family so we didn't have to go so long between visits. Thanks for coming to visit!
Eric and I like to go to the RC Wiley Outlet store and walk around to see if there are any great deals. In July we decided that we wanted to buy a chair and a half. A few of our friends have them and they are just so comfortable. One day we decided to go to the real RC Wiley store to look around. The only chair we found was part of this great furniture set that Eric and I were sitting on just dreaming about the day when we can have nice furniture. Well the next week-end we happened to go to the outlet store again, just walking around, when SURPRISE, that couch was there! It is a really big, really nice couch and we couldn't believe it was there. We looked at the price and it was 50% off! We thought there had to be something seriously wrong with the couch. Turns out there was a little tear that they fixed. You can hardly see it. The sales guy told us that he would give us $30 off of the already listed price if we picked it up ourselves and then he would throw in a free scotchguard. Great deal! The only problem is that we don't have a truck and neither do any of our friends. We went back the next day to get it with the plan of asking if we could borrow a cart, because we only live 3 blocks away. They let us, so Eric and I pushed this large couch down the street. People were staring at us. It was pretty funny. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures. I wish I would have. Eric and our neighbor Mike brought the couch up to our apartment and it barely fit! It will be interesting to get it out when we move. A week later we decided to buy the ottoman that goes with it. I'm glad we did. It made it that much better. Eric and I are happy with out purchase. It is so much better than that futon!
This Saturday was a fun filled day for Eric and I. In the afternoon we went to the Utah County Fair with Ryan, Amber, Steve, Rachel, Jason and Chris. We walked around for a little bit looking at the booths and the animals. We walked around looking for some good food, but were a little disappointed when they didn't have Turkey legs or funnel cakes. What fair doesn't have funnel cakes? We got some food and sat around and talked for awhile. Then we went and watched the tractor pull. This was the higlight of the day! Well, not really but it was definitely something that I had never seen before. We watched it for a little while and then left. It was pretty fun. Here are some pictures:

I was going to post a video instead but it wouldn't work: Following the fair, Eric and I went to a park in Orem to celebrate our buddy Lincoln's FIRST birthday!! Lincoln is Kirsten and Aaron's little boy. They grilled up some delicious burgers and everyone sat around and talked. We had met most of the people there before so it was fun to see them again. The party was jungle themed, so Kirsten got jungle decorations and make a cute lion cake. She did a great job. Lincoln got to open some presents and then got to eat a piece of chocolate cake. Kirsten stripped him down to his diaper and then let him go to town. It was pretty cute. After the party, Eric and I went over to Kirsten and Aaron's and hung out for the rest of the night. We love hanging out with them. They are great friends. We are also glad that we got to celebrate Lincoln's first birthday. I can't believe how fast kids grow up.
I really like music and I have a new favorite song every couple of weeks. This is my current favorite song. I think it is the cutest song. If you don't know it, you need to listen to it. It is "Then" by Brad Paisley. If you aren't a country fan, then just pretend that you are for about five minutes and give this song a try. Earlier this month, Eric's good friend Jacob was in Utah to visit his family. Eric and Jacob were mission companions for almost 11 months. His family came in from Indiana to visit, and since Eric is friends with the whole family, we got to hang out with all of them. Eric hadn't seen Jacob since he got married two years ago. Jacob and his wife Nia were living in Hawaii, and then they moved to Tonga for a few months for him to do an intership. Nia is from Tonga so they went and stayed with her family. Just about 4 months ago, they had a baby. His name is Viliami and he is a cute little guy. When Eric and Jacob were serving together, they taught the Baker family. They are both very good friends with this family. Jacob hadn't seen them for a few years so they came up from St. George to visit. We all went up to Salt Lake because Nia had never been to Utah. We took her to temple sqaure, on a tour of the conference center, and then we had lunch at "The Garden", this nice restaurant on the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was really good. After we did of all this, we all headed back to Provo to meet up with some other mission friends at the Park. It was fun to get a whole bunch of people together to just hang out. After spending some time at the park, the Baker's had to leave and then we all went to see Harry Potter. It was my second time, and I loved it. The next day Eric and I were able to spend the whole day with Jacob's family. We ate a lot of food, play some games and just had a fun time. I'm glad that Eric was able to see Jacob. They talk on the phone every once in awhile, but it is so much better to be able to see someone. Jacob and Nia are living in Indiana now while Jacob is in grad school, so hopefully we'll be able to see them some more. Now enjoy some pictures:

If there is one thing you have learned about us from this post, it's that we like to eat! Well, we actually don't eat out as much as it seems, but for some reason I like to take pictures at restaurants. Eric and I have been having a lot of fun going to the pool and hanging out with our friends this past month. We really are so very lucky to have so many great friends who live by us and like to have fun.
It's only been a week so I feel ok blogging about the Fourth of July. I love the fourth of July. I love going to parades, having BBQ's, being with friends and family, and I especially love fireworks. I also love the meaning of the Fourth of July and always feel so grateful that I get to live in this amazing country. I got Friday off which was nice. I love paid holidays!!!! I slept in, cleaned the apartment a bit, and then went swimming!! We have a pool by our apartment that our friends Mike and Lisa bought passes to, so we got to use two of their punches and get in a little cheaper than you normally would. I love to swim, so it was great. After we went swimming we went home and got ready to go to the Freedom Festival on Center Street. They pretty much close down Center Street and set up a whole bunch of booths and stuff. We got to see some cool cars and look at other neat things. Then we got to eat some delicious food and then have a funnel cake to finish the night off. The next day, the 4th, we got up and went to the parade. We sat along University Ave. to watch the parade. It was a pretty good spot. It rained a little bit, but we were under a tree so it didn't really get us. The parade was pretty good. After that we went home and just relaxed for a little while until we had a BBQ in the park. We bought giant steaks from Costco that Eric marinated. They were so good. I made crab salad and our friends brough fruit salad and this yummy dessert. Our friend Mike had two of his brothers come along too. It was a good time with great food. After that we went over to Ryan and Amber's house to visit with them for a little while. Some of Ryan's family was in town too so we got to see them. Eric and I weren't sure what we were going to do for Fireworks. Amber said the traffic in Provo gets really bad because of the stadium of Fire. It's a big 4th of July concert celebration. This year the Jonas Brothers were there. We definitely didn't go! Anyways, so we all decided to go together to Cabela's to watch the fireworks at Thanksgiving Point. We were up on a hill so we actually got to see a few firework shows. After we saw the fireworks, we stayed around in the parking lot and set off some fireworks of our own. It was fun. We should have bought some more. Good thing fireworks are legal again on July 24th. Eric and I are defintely going to buy more than we did this time. Anyways, it was a great 4th of July. So a lot has gone on since I last blogged. The main thing is that my family was here for almost a week. We did a lot and had a lot of fun. If I went into detail on everything this would be the longest blog in history, so I will just briefly go over each day.
Monday: My family got here. We went to Five Guys so my dad and Jason could try it. Jason still likes In-n-Out better, which is fine. After we ate we went to North Park and met up with my Grandma and Grandpa Morley, Uncle Ken, Uncle Mike and Aunt Wendy, and their kids. We played football, threw a frisbee and talked until it got dark. Then we went to the Malt Shop for dessert.
Tuesday: I had to work but my family came to visit me. I had an ice-social for work which worked out perfectly because my mom is one of our students so my whole family could come. After that the boys all went to see X-men and the girls went to get some food for the rest of the week in Park City.
Wednesday: Got up and left to go to Park City. Checked into our place, ate dinner and then went to Deer Creek for an outdoor piano concert. I'm pretty sure we were the only ones who didn't bring wine to drink while watching the guy play. Then we went swimming for a few hours in the pool at our condo. After that we played games until late.
Thursday: Drove up to the Park City ski resort to check out the alpine slide. Walked up and down main street to check out all of the little shops. They had a lot of intersting things. We ate lunch and then played shuffleboard for awhile. Kristen and Matt and Tyler drove down from Idaho Falls and met up with us. My brother Chris couldn't come because he just got a new job. I was so excited to see those little guys. They are adorable. We all went to the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and got a little snack, then we went back to our condo to swim for a few hours. Came back to our place to eat dinner and then went on a walk around this nice hotel at The Canyons. The kids went to bed and then the rest of us stayed up late playing Golf. It's a great game.
Friday: Drove up to the Park City ski resort to actually go on the alpine slide. We bought tickets for all of us to go twice, but some of us got stuck behind this REALLY slow guys, which defeats the whole purpose of the slide, so we got to go a third time. I hadn't done it in a long time and my nephews had never done it (I think.) The third time I went I had Tyler with me. He said that he didn't want to go fast, so I didn't go as fast as I normally would, but I still went kinda fast. He was so cute the whole time. He kept yelling, "WOO-HOO!" He later told everyone that the best driver of the day was me, because we had the best cart. After we were done we went to the Olympic Ski Park. We got to see some ski jumping (they are practicing by jumping into a pool. There is no snow right now.) Then we ate dinner and went to go swimming again but it started raining right after we got there. Good timing! Then we played games late into the night again!
Saturday: Packed up to leave. Went to this barn my mom wanted to go to. Went shopping at the outlets. Ate at McDonalds. Drove back to Provo. Went to the park while Jason and Eric went and shot his gun. Walked to Gandolphos. Saw pictures of Jason's mission.
Sunday: Everyone left and it was terribly quiet in our apartment. It was a nice quiet, but it's always sad when family leaves. Who knows when I will get to see my brother's family again. She is having a baby girl in August so probably sometime after the baby comes. It was a great week overall. I wish my family all lived closer so that we could do this more often.

On June 17th around 12:00PM, my little brother Jason got home from his mission in Detroit, MI. He flew into Sacramento, CA, which isn't quite his "home" but that's where the family is. Jason was greeted by my mom, dad, sister, grandma and grandpa DeLange and a family from my parents ward who happened to be at the airport at the same time. Eric and I weren't able to go out to California for it, which I was a little sad about. Most of my family will be coming out to Utah in a few days which made us not being able to go out there alright. Anyways, while I was at work I was checking his flight status online so I could feel a little bit of the excitement. I also told my sister to send me a picture of him from her phone. I went to lunch about 15 minutes after he arrived so I got to call him and talk to him for a few minutes. That was fun. It sounds like he is adjusting just fine. He signed onto facebook that night and then got a new cell phone the next day. He wasn't wasting anytime reconnecting with people! Eric and I are very excited for him to be home and even more excited for him to be out here in the fall so that we can have some family out here again. Welcome home Jason!

We got married on May 3, 2008 in Washington D.C. and are now living in Provo, UT. Eric graduated from BYU with a BA in Public Relations. He now works for NuSkin in their corporate communications department. Allison graduated from BYU in Psychology. She is now a stay at home mom since our cute little boy arrived on September 11! He is the sweetest little thing and we can't get enough of him. We love being married because we have so much fun together!
