The Whole Family... well on my side at least

When we were out in Colorado for the 4th, my mom wanted to take some family pictures since this was the first time we had all been together since May 2007!  That's crazy.  It was really hot outside and patience was running low, but we were able to get a few good shots.  I wish I would have gotten a hair cut before we took these pictures, but oh well.

This one makes it look like my nephew Matt is our child.  I wouldn't mind that though; he's a cutie!

My sister looks a little lonely there to the side don't you think?

Of all of the pictures this one is my favorite even though Eric and I look giants compared to the rest of the family!  My mom and sister-in-law look so tiny!

Bumpity- Bump

It's about time that I post some updated bump pictures.  I was a slacker and failed to take a picture at 28 weeks, so I just have weeks 26 and 30 here.

26 weeks

30 weeks

I definitely have gotten bigger and boy am I feeling it.  As I write this I am 31 weeks.  I'm feeling pretty good right now, but am feeling more aches and pains as time goes by.  The thing that is the hardest for me to deal with right now is the heart burn.  Tums are my best friend!  I have already gone through an entire container of them.  Luckily I sleep well most nights, but for some reason I have felt pretty exhausted the past week.  Good thing Eric is so nice to me and lets me relax.  Bending over and getting off of our deep couch has become a problem.  Also, after I eat dinner I feel like it's harder to breathe.  I think that my lungs are getting a little crammed.  I do LOVE to watch my belly move.  It's one of the coolest things.  He is definitely an active little guy.  Eric says that he can feel him a lot at night when I am sleeping.  I can't wait to meet him!  We still have a lot to do before that happens so I'm not quite anxious for that yet.  This boy has a lot of growing to do still.  Overall, things are going well and I am having a healthy pregnancy.  I am very happy about that!  I'll update again in a few weeks!

Rockies Game

For the 4th of July, Eric and I went out to Colorado to visit my family (more about that later.)  The first night that we got there we went to a Rockies game!  I hadn't been to one in quite a few years, and Eric had never been to one so it was great for both of us.  The games that fall during the 4th always have fireworks shows afterward, so we got to enjoy a baseball game and a fireworks show.  Since it was a special game, the tickets were a little more and it was a pretty full ball park.  We didn't buy our tickets until a few days before so we were almost sitting in the very top row.  It was still fun though.  Since it isn't a Rockies game without a Rockie Dog, we all had a Rockie Dog for dinner!  The Rockies won, the fireworks were great and the company was even better.  Thanks mom and dad for taking us to a ball game!

Oh, and I am happy to say that Eric is a full-blown Rockies fan.  He is doing a fantasy baseball league with my brother this summer, and he has the Rockies short stop, Tulowitzki, on his team, so he has been following the Rockies this season.  One day he told me that he is now a Rockies fan!  Finally, a team that Eric and I can agree on!  He even bought a Rockies shirt for the game.  Now that's a true fan!

Shout-out to Megan!

You know you have a good friend when she offers to come to your house and paint your toenails!  Two Sunday's ago my friend Megan texted me to see if I wanted to do nails and to watch a girly movie.  I, of course, said yes!  When she got there I mentioned that Eric was going to have to paint my toenails for me since bending over that like isn't exactly the most comfortable thing.  She then told me that she would do it!  Yeah, she's really nice.  Not only did she paint my toenails but she did it super cute.  If you haven't heard of crackle nails, I highly recommend that you check it out.  It's a really easy way to make your nails look awesome. Check it our here.  I had a picture of our toes to post, but somehow deleted it, and the picture isn't saved on this computer.  I'll put it up when I get a chance because I know you're all dying to see my awesome toes!  Thank you Megan!  You really are an awesome friend.

Update:  Here's the picture of our cute toes!  Isn't the crackle great?!

Craft Night

The other week one of my work friends posted this necklace on her blog.  I thought it was so cute that I wanted to make one too.  About a week later a few of us from work got together and made the necklace.  It's not very hard but it does take some time, about 2 hours, and some patience.  Below is the almost finished product (I re-braided it the next day to make the braid tighter, but you get the idea!)  You can find in progress pictures of us making them here.  If you think it's cute too, you should totally make one.  It's always fun to make something yourself.  I need to be more crafty.  Someday...

Eric's Going to Be Such a Good Dad!

I love to watch Eric interact with little kids.  They all LOVE him.  How could they not though, he is so fun and playful?  We have two really close set of friends here who both have 2-year old boys and new baby girls.  The boys love to play with Eric, and well, it's too early to tell for the girls.  He will hold the little girls though, which is so sweet.  I can't wait for him to hold and play with our little boy.  He really is going to be the best dad.
